I'm a full-stack web developer who loves learning. I enjoy solving challenging problems and creating great web experiences for athletes, students and small business owners.
When I was in college I took an amazing class that inspired me to take control of my own learning. This experience was so powerful that it led me to co-found two start-ups in the education space: Junto Studio and Learnhub.
With these projects I learned how to take ambitious ideas, break them down into achievable milestones and execute them against sustainable metrics. I also had the chance to develop a team of designers and programmers and to conduct hundreds of user interviews. This helped me see the importance of validating the direction we are going in. Oh yeah, and I learned how to fail - a lot. Which probably taught me the most important skill of all - how to pick myself back up and move through pain gracefully and with curiosity.
One of my favorite parts in this journey has been getting to work with amazing people. They have pushed me to become resilient, question what work means to me and to explore the world while working remotely.During the past years I've invested a lot of time in learning how to manage the business side of things and doing some programming for clients. I've come to realize that although I enjoy embracing my entrepreneurial side, I want to do a lot more programming. So I decided this year that it was time to embark on a new adventure. Currently I'm focused on being a better developer. I'm learning React, and I'm doing freelance work for clients.
When not coding you'll usually find me doing something fitness related, grabbing a matcha latte, traveling or listening to a great podcast. (A bit of a cliche #millenial, I know.)
